ProFlightSimulator Versus Microsoft

In the small world of flight simulation, there lays a tight community of very serious enthusiasts. These people are into the full flight experience and, if you think you are going to pull the wool or the cloud over their eyes with a cheap flight scene and some cheesy graphics, then you are in for a shocker. The people who purchase, or rather invest, in the ProFlightSimulator are hard core. Now, most are so used to Microsoft Simulator X. When an enthusiast gets sweet on her, like a good lover, they hardly have the drive to venture out on their own to find anything different. To them, why mess with perfection? Until they pick up a magazine, you know, the ones tech heads and airplane enthusiasts read; and they see the new seductress the pro flight simulator that has a little something extra to offer.

It's normal. Most of these people are men and the ProFlightSimulator is the forbidden fruit that they must try. We will address what seduced most of them to the come to this side. The Microsoft Simulator X has a lot of bells and whistles, all those geeky little things the players love, like real time weather and programmable weather, IP VoIP so you can hear other players and play live, and satellite imagery of the entire world and that is just to name a few.

However, here is the clincher. For the common Joe or even the hard core gamer; it may be a frustration. All the fantastic choices and graphics you have aren't worth much if your PC can't handle it and it comes out choppy. It was said in one review that it is a giant resource hog and that the average person that has a PC specifically for gaming gets only 7-14 FPS, which is highly unacceptable.

Now, for the Pro flight simulator, it is much different. The appeal is that it is made for everyone! It has everything the Microsoft FSX has with exception to VoIP. But it has a superb online community that is constantly, with no exaggeration, just handing out free content. They are always creating new airplanes and helicopters, and the missions and scenarios are never ending. The bonus that makes the ProFightSimulator a winner hands down and converter of souls is that it has an excellent frame rate which brings all that the competitor has alive.
