Making Your World of Warcraft Leveling Experience Less Painful and Quick

It's been more than 7 years since World of Warcraft was first released. Since then the level cap has increased from 60 to what is now 85. If you are a player like me who started playing World of Warcraft from its "vanilla" days, then you probably have many level 85 characters and have memorized most of the quests from being familiar with the in-game world. For me, I've leveled all 8 classes so far both on the horde and the alliance side over the years, and because of this I often think everyone else will also know how to level any character on any faction including complete "newbies".
Though it seems like a simple task, I can see why new players, who try to level from complete scratch after 3 massive expansions, have a hard time. The world is much bigger and players do not have the time to be eased into the game. Sadly, I've seen some try to level to 85 and quit during the process because they were so lost. Not only is it difficult for new players to try to figure out where to go for each quest and get them done properly, most of the player population is already at 85 making the leveling more of a chore than a good experience: it's harder to find groups for dungeons (most people don't even get to set foot in half the old dungeons while leveling), feels like you're playing by yourself because there are no other players in low level zones, and sometimes bored high level players kill you over and over again.
Because of all these issues, more and more people have developed WoW leveling guides to make the process much quicker and efficient. What used to take 10 days to level from 1-60 when the game first came out, going from 1-85 can be now done under 5 days playing time. These xelerated leveling guides help you level fast by directing you to sequential quests that have been proven to deliver the shortest playing time possible. Some of them also synchronize with the quests that you've already done as well as your character class to make sure your class specific quests are accounted for in your quest chains.
If you are a new player to World of Warcraft, I highly recommend you invest in one of the leveling guides out there to level your characters fast to join the end game content in both PVE and PVP as quickly as you can! In fact, even if you are an old timer, I'd recommend it if you are looking to level more characters to have more variety in your game. The guide that I personally have used and am impressed by is called Xelerated Warcraft Guides.
